Tri-block bottling machine for food liquids, designed for the automatic packaging of liquid and semi-liquid food products in plastic or glass bottles. The Maxima 5000 is a high-speed automatic packaging machine developed to combine high performance with ease of use, solid construction and a compact design. With a capacity of approximately 5000 bottles/hour, it is an efficient solution for the food industry, particularly for dairy packaging applications.
Machine type
The Maxima 5000 is an automatic tri-block packaging machine: rinsing, dosing and capping are integrated in a single machine and the cycle runs without manual intervention. The operator simply supervises and controls production through the touch-screen PLC.
It is suitable for packaging liquid food products such as milk, drinking yoghurt, sauces, juices, egg products, still drinks and similar products, in glass or plastic bottles.
Being an automatic machine, it can be connected to the customer’s existing plant for bottle loading, thanks to the conveyor belt at the inlet.
Features
The Maxima 5000 works in 5 stages, carried out in sequence within the same machine: container loading, container rinsing and sterilisation, dosing, capping and unloading.
Bottle loading
Bottles are loaded automatically from the dedicated conveyor belt at the inlet.
Container rinsing and sterilisation
The rinsing device is equipped with 20 rotating grippers, which ensure the correct rinsing and draining time.
Rinsing is carried out with sterile water (sterilised through a 7" filter and UV-C lamp) or with steam.
Dosing
Main product dosing ranges from 50 to 2000 ml, for a wide range of products, in glass or plastic bottles; size changeover takes just a few minutes. Hourly capacity is approximately 5000 bottles/hour (actual capacity depends on the characteristics of the product and packaging).
Dosing is carried out by 16 electronic flow meters with membrane valves, for maximum precision and hygiene. The system is complete with an isobaric product hopper with level probes and process valves, and uses continuous-level technology.
Capping
The capping carousel is equipped with a vibrating or magnetic orientator, to automatically sort a large quantity of caps, plus a chute and cap positioner.
A rotating carousel with 4 screwing spindles with adjustable tightening torque, specifically designed for each individual cap, ensures correct screwing.
An aluminium-lid capping device is available as an option: the “Cut & form” device, which houses the aluminium coil used to obtain the lids, is designed and manufactured by Pasin SRL.
Unloading
Packaged bottles are unloaded onto a conveyor belt.
Cleaning solutions
The Maxima 5000 has a complete cleaning and sterilisation system, with CIP and SIP.
CIP (cleaning in place): all parts in contact with food can be CIP-cleaned, and the recirculation system, of new design, ensures maximum simplicity and efficiency. The PLC has an automatic washing programme already installed, which can be modified according to the customer’s needs.
SIP (sterilisation in place): before production, the entire dosing system is sterilised with steam. The device is equipped with filters, pressure gauges, valves and everything needed for perfect sterilisation.
A washing tank for the parts in contact with the product is available as an option; it can be used as a small recirculation circuit or to connect the machine to the customer’s CIP.
Industry 4.0
The machine is managed by a touch-screen PLC, which makes the entire machine Industry 4.0 certifiable. Remote support is included.
High Clean and Extended Shelf Life
For ESL (Extended Shelf Life) products, High Clean packaging is available as an option. It includes an H14 HEPA filter (filtration efficiency 99.995%) for sterile air injection inside the machine, bottle sterilisation with hydrogen peroxide injection and activation with heated air, and a UV-C lamp applied to the cap positioner chute.
Accessories and options available
- Washing tank, also for connection to the customer’s CIP;
- Rotating table in stainless steel for bottle accumulation;
- Labelling machine: automatic labeller for self-adhesive labels applied to the body of the bottle;
- Warranty seal on the bottle cap, with an applicator system complete with spreader;
- Inkjet date coder installed on the conveyor belt, for printing expiry date, lot and more, complete with its own programming software;
- ESL packaging (High Clean): H14 HEPA filter, bottle sterilisation with hydrogen peroxide and UV-C lamp;
- Aluminium-lid capper: the “Cut & form” device, located outside the machine, houses the aluminium coil and is designed and manufactured by Pasin SRL; a pneumatic conveyor carries the lids to the applicator head, a proximity sensor checks they are present and a welding carousel with 8 bronze heads seals the lid.
What is it suitable for?
The Maxima 5000 is recommended for medium-scale production, up to approximately 5000 bottles per hour, in dairies and food companies that want to automate the rinsing, dosing and capping of milk and other liquid foods.
Despite its high performance, it is a compact, solid and easy-to-use machine, with size changeover in a few minutes.
