Automatic end-of-line machine for jars, designed to apply an aesthetic paper cover to the jar cap. The Coating 1500 suits many products in plastic or glass jars, such as yoghurt, jam, pickles and honey. With a capacity of approximately 1500 jars/hour, it integrates conveying, hot-glue application, automatic paper-sheet positioning, edge wrapping and elastic-string tying for a distinctive aesthetic finish; size changeover takes just a few minutes.
Machine type
The Coating 1500 is an automatic packaging machine for the application of an aesthetic cover to the jar cap, at the end of the line: the packaging cycle runs without manual intervention and the operator simply supervises and controls production through the PLC.
It is compatible with a wide range of products, such as yoghurt, jam, pickles and honey, in plastic or glass jars.
Being an automatic machine, it can be connected to the customer’s existing plant for loading the jars.
Features
The Coating 1500 works in 5 stages, carried out in sequence within the same machine: container loading, hot-glue application, paper-sheet application, edge wrapping with tying and unloading.
Container loading
Jars are loaded automatically from the dedicated inlet conveyor belt.
Hot-glue application
A small amount of hot glue is applied to keep the piece of paper in position during the subsequent tying.
Paper-sheet application
The sheets of paper are taken automatically from the magazine by suction cups and an automatic feeder, and can be of different formats.
Edge wrapping and tying
The edges of the piece of paper are folded down and then an elastic string is applied and tied all around the neck of the jar, starting from a coil of string. The whole process is completely automatic.
Unloading
Jars are unloaded onto the dedicated conveyor belt.
Industry 4.0
The PLC is also available in a touch-screen version, which makes the entire machine Industry 4.0 certifiable. Remote support is included.
What is it suitable for?
The Coating 1500 is recommended for small to medium-scale production, up to approximately 1500 jars per hour, in dairies and food companies that want to give their jars an aesthetic finish with a paper cover.
It is a compact, solid and easy-to-use machine, with size changeover in a few minutes.
